It was a fulfilling day of friendship, generosity and prayer that started with us piling into Deacon David’s car at 13h15 and setting off early in order to find a parking in good time. When we arrived there, there was time for contemplation in the church at the top of the hill before we were led out by Bishop Peter, the Brigittine nuns – leading us in the Rosary and Deacon David from our parish carrying the Holy Relic. There were others carrying a beautiful banner and also the statue of Our Holy Mother Mary. We followed the procession down the hill to where the Holy Well is, where a marquis had been set up with seating, sound system and ushers in place. There was even an ambulance on standby! Mass was beautiful and the reading was done by 3 ladies, including our very own Diane! At the end of the traditional blessing at the end of Mass, Bishop Peter blessed the pilgrims with the Holy Relic and those who wished to, went to the Well before setting off for home.
We would all like to thank everyone who took part, large or small, making it a lovely afternoon of prayer, blessings and friendship among other things.
